I've been having chronic nausea too and I can't figure out why. I went back to my soft foods, thinking maybe I was branching out too soon, but it didn't matter. I would also like to see if anyone has any suggestions.

Hi Pam,,,Earlier tonight I took a homeopathic gas med to see if it would help.Gas is causing much of my problem I realized.It did move things along so to speak and I did feel about 50% better for a few hours after things got out.But then back to the same thing as the gas built up again.So I'm going to take it every 2 hrs as the instructions say for a few days to see if that helps in the long run.It's called "CharcoCaps" Homeopathic Antigas Formula if you want to try it to see if it helps you too.I found it at Kmart a few weeks ago and thought it might be gentler than the more popular gas pills on the market.And it's a capsule so no strong tastes to deal with.Good luck to you too.It's horrible to be nauseous so much.

Hi there..I just called my surgeons office about my chronic nausea and she said I might have a slight narrowing of the small intestine just enough so food gets stuck and doesn't want to pass through. She is setting up an appt for me to see a GI dr. The dr will use the scope to go down and look to see if it needs to be stretched. Wish me luck! I hope your nausea clears up really soon hon. I had chronic nausea and gas sounds about exactly what you described. I finally got so sick I couldn't eat or drink it hurt and made me so sick. I had to get IV's so I wouldn't be dehydrated. I did this for at least a month on about July 17, 2007 they did a cat scan and found where the residual stomach and the intestine come together was a blockage so the bile that my residual stomache would make stayed in the residual stomache and built up an infection. I also had a nasty taste in my mouth all the time, things smelt bad, nothing looked or tasted good. If this has been going on for very long you might want to go to the emergency room they could give you IV fluids if needed. You really want to watch that because what happened to me is my potassium got really low and they hospitalized me because they said if it went any lower I could become a vegetable I was very sick had surgery after that was fed by IV with lipids and spent over two weeks in the hospital and I am still pretty weak from it. If you go to the ER have them do some blood work I hope this helps and I feel for you I know how sick I was and no bocy would listen.

But last night it dawned on me this is exactly how I felt years ago when I had 3 ulcers at the same time.I was worse than and was hospitalized numerous times before they were found.I really think that is the problem.I don't have the bad taste or smell problem anymore.I had that in the beginning like many others.I also don't have any reflux.that went away after my surgery.I had bad acid reflux before and was on meds daily for it.But I did start back on the medicine for it just in case it is an ulcer because if it is the feflux will start at some point.My ulcers werefrom a bacteria and ATB's took care of them.I called today for a appoinment with my Gastro Dr and am being fit in in 3 weeks.So until then I am treating it as an ulcer which won't hurt me if it's not.today I actually felt slightly better.Weather from the acid reflus meds or the gas meds I am taking.But a little better is good for now.I already have a Hiatal hernia and have not felt anything getting stuck as it does when it's acting up.So hopefully food is going through as it should.

Hi Denise, I had my egd done today and I have only the beginning of a small amount of scar tissue. The gi dr didnt have to stretch my small intestine at all. I had run out of my acid reflux meds about a week ago and as I remember, thats when I started feeling sick. My dr ofc called in a new script for me yesterday and I havent felt sick or nautious since I started taking my acid meds again. maybe thats all that was wrong. I do still have a bad smell in my nose and awful taste in my mouth though. how long till that goes away?
