Hi all! I'm almost done with my 6 month weigh-ins and I see my surgeon on Nov 10th to get my surgery date. I was told it should be either in late Nov or Dec. I'm very nervous but I can't wait to get it overwith already. I have PCOS and one of the main reasons I'm getting this done is because of fertility issues. I do have a 9 yr old but I had also dropped 53lbs on my own back then so I think that's how I was able to conceive. Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone has any conception stories after surgery. Thank you.
Fingers crossed for your surgery date! Exciting stuff. I also suffer PCOS and it was a huge influence on why I decided to go for the surgery (but in a long term goal sort of way, I'm 20 so want kids but not right now). While the surgery cannot cure the PCOS the weight loss in me has greatly lessened the symptoms (depression, irregular period, mood swings etc) and I am no longer on any form of medication for it. I was advised to not get pregnant within a year of surgery but I had the gastric bypass - not sure if the same warning comes with all surgery.
