I have a doctors apppointment on tuesday for a full body checkup. I'm (really really REALLY) hoping that the doc will give me the go-ahead to go off my prescriptions. I'm only taking two, and I'm sure it'll happen for me, but still......
Any prayers, well-wishes, and general good luck will be much appreciated. Thanks a bunch guys!!!!

Good luck with that. Like you, I'm hoping to be able to at least reduce doses, if not eliminate them altogether. I'm off stomach and diabetes meds, hoping to ditch cholesterol and HBP meds as well some day.

Good luck! I was able to go off all 3 of my blood pressure meds! I hope you can get off your meds too.

I got back from my docs yesterday, but with all the running around we had to do since it was my moms only day off, i didnt get a chance to go back on the net.
Anyways, the visit went fine. I can't go off my meds.... yet. The doctor said it wouldn't be wise, since she hasnt had a chance to moniter my progress. My blood pressure was at 118/65(i think) but she said as soon as it was mantained at 110/55(or so), I could go off my blood pressure med. And she just wants to see for herself how well i do with mantaining no asthma attacks for herself. All of which i totally understand.And she also wants me to have blood work and all those tests done to make sure I don't have a vitamin deficiency or anthing unpleasant. At least i can tell my surgeon all this when I see him next month.
On the more plus side, i am down another pound and a half from last week, bringing my total weight loss at 105 and 1 1/3 pounds lost so far!!!
Now i am hoping at 2 years(which is in another 7 months or so) after surgery doc visits, I will (then) not have to take any meds.
