I printed Lcat4 "Things Newbies should know." I'm so grateful for that.
I guess my biggest fear is confronting the mental part. The "why I overeat."
What will I do instead? etc. I have a therapist. Is there something else I joined here. I'm starting an in person support group tomorrow, but they only meet once a month. Mostly I'm excited about getting healthier and off the tons of medications I'm on right now.

I was the same, biggest issue after surgery was wanting food, but it was my head, that's the beauty of dumping, I have dumped 3 times and sometimes over the smallest thing, it is horrible and once you have experienced it you will make whatever changes you can to avoid it happening again.

Welcome Robynjoy! The mental part is the most crucial part of success in your journey. And it never stops! Even at 5 1/2 years. Journaling and therapy are really helpful. I also use tapping.

Make the most of the group, we don't have support groups in Australia we are on our own, well not on our own, I have an awesome medical team supporting me and you guys on here
