Libido? Absolutely!! At least for me. I want to take it out for a spin. I too am married and have much more desire and feel more desirable. The issue is getting past previous difficulties. It's all mental. The equipment is working well, better since the weight loss.

I've lost about 135 pounds. More than I wanted actually. I'm a little too bony at this point and my wife considers me skinny now. Just the opposite of before. I still think about food all of the time, just to keep the weight on rather than trying to lose the weight. Not quite as bad a situation, but a little frustrating nonetheless. But health wise, I'm in a much better position then when I was heavy. Better physically, mentally, and emotionally.

That's awesome, what time frame did you do it in and what procedure did you have. I would like to lose 100lbs, but we don't have pounds here in Australia we have kilo's lol, so aiming for 45.45kgs

Can a lady enter this convo: Is this a common weight related issue? My husband doesn't have terribly much to lose (compared to me) - maybe 65 lbs or so and this is an issue for us for about a year now. He went to the doc and got a prescription for the little blue pill but doesn't seem to have interest in taking it . He's not having surgery obviously, but will be following a program of his own along with my journey - I'm looking at a mid-Feb surgery date. I'm hoping he'll be more up for it (pardon the pun) once we've both shed some pounds.

I think that there are physical, mental, and emotional issues that come into play when one is obese. Certainly in my case there was the issue of low self esteem, depression, and high cholesterol and high blood pressure all which have a negative impact on libido. Losing weight will address the physical issues, but the mental and emotional ones still need to be dealt with. Some of it can be overcome with attitude, affection, and self help, but some of it might require professional assistance as well. Hope it all works out for you.
