30 lbs in 5 days is an awful lot of weight to lose. I do not know how far out you are right now? I am not a Dr. but let me ask you a few questions and only you know the answers to these questions. #1. Do you drink liquids with any of your meals. If you do, then this will cause you to dump (vomit). Food and liquids do not mix. Once you eat something you can not drink for at least an hour if not longer. Our stomachs can only hold a little tiny bit and there is not room for food and water together. I want to enjoy the food I am eating so I still avoid liquids after I eat. When your stomach is empty or not full anymore then you can drink again. Another question are you eating only a few bites at a time? Are you stopping when you are full. You will dump (V) if you over eat.
Our pouches are real small now. We can in no way hold even a quarter of the food we used to eat. notice I am saying we because I am 5'3" I went in for GBS at 280 lbs, wearing size 26, I looked like I was pregnant. I had GBS 23 years ago and I am still 140 lbs lighter but have learned a lot over the years. After GBS I have dumped (V) not once, not twice, but 3, 4, 5 times after ether eating the wrong food or eating food that did not agree with me. Or I over ate. Then I drink liquids and I have dump again until all the food is out of my pouch. I have been there and done that. it seems like the dumping will never end but it does and I learn from dumping to listen to my stomach and stop when I am full. To not eat the foods that do not agree with me. Even after 23 years I still can only eat a small amount and I know when to stop.Even now I have to wait at least 1 hour or more before I drink liquids. There are still food I can not eat that I ate before my GBS but I would not go back on my decision to have GBS ever. I hope this helps you!
Another question did your Dr. check your Gallbladder because I had to have mine taken out 6 month after my surgery. Hang in there it does get better.
Hope you feel better soon,
