You're going to change your life!!!
I was 58 when I had my surgery, and I don't regret it for a minute! It's great to not have to deal with hunger (at 16 months PO, I still don't get hungry). However, the BIGGEST struggle is with our head/mouth/emotional eating. It's not hunger that makes us overeat. Usually we eat too much or eat when we aren't really hungry because we're tired, bored, emotional or just plain want to entertain ourselves with something tasty. Those are the habits we have to learn to curtain.
You'll be a step ahead of the game if you start a journal now and begin to make notes about what's going on when you eat: how are you feeling? what's going on around you? what are you eating? Building some awareness around those habits will help you begin to devise some alternate strategies for dealing with those situations when they arise PO.
Good luck to you.
I know you will like it here. Everybody is so nice and can share a lot. Do you have to do all the testing?
Hope you have a great day.
