My 7 week surgaversary was this Wednesday. I started out at 299 lbs before my all liquid diet and prior to surgery. I am now a few pounds below 250 and less than 50 lbs away from my first goal weight of 200lbs! Still have problems eating protein. Works best to puree it or chew every bite until my jaw falls off! But I am able to drink liquids better than I thought I would be able to. I thought I would be stuck at sipping things the rest of my life. I really hate that. But luckily I can take a couple decent sized swallows of liquid in a row. Yay! That was a big difficulty that I was going to have to deal with. When I get thirsty, I can't just sip. Thankfully it has worked out this way. Just have had a few bouts with throwing up from not getting the protein chewed or pureed enough. Other than that, I have been doing pretty good. I ate a few carbs a couple of times and was granted the lovely experience of nausea, so I don't do that much. Good deterrent is my thought on that. But it is hard to grab and go. I have to think about what I am going to eat thru the day so I have enough protein sources that can be tolerated. But all in all, I am so glad I had this surgery!!!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
