Hi beautiful people! I'm 4 days post-op and since last night my feet feel tingly and hot while my calls, shoulders and back are really sore. The shoulders are the worst and my stomach feels like it's healing but I get this contraction like pain that last for 3 seconds and disappears especially when I drink something. Should I be concerned of blood clots? I have been walking but it's about 30 minutes a day total cuz of the pain. I have only had pain killers 3 times so far because it's so nasty what they gave me. I wish I was back in America. (Pain killer is Tylenol 3 that I crush )

I experienced soreness in my chest but I attributed that to them fixing the hernia I had while they were in there. Did you call the doctor? Only they can tell you if what you are experiencing is normal or not. Everyone is different and you also had it done outside the US so not sure if they use the same techniques and equipment as they do here.

Yes they have the best equipment just like America. Over night my chest started hurting on the left side as I breath and down my left rib. I called my surgeon in Jordan he said yes go to the hospital. So it's 7 am here in saudi arabia and I'm going now. Are these signs of blood clots? I'm so a scared!

It means you better get back to your doctor immediately. I don't know what your symptoms could be, but better to get it checked out. Good luck!

Thanks for the responses.I went to the hospital and they did a cat scan, X ray, and lab work. They said that I was totally fine and there is nothing that indicates that I have a blood clots or pneumonia. .. they think I may have pulled a muscle. So I still have the pain when I breathe in my lung. No pain killers take it away. It's only when I breathe in.

Oh they also did an ekg.and they said maybe because I'm sleeping in one position which is a position I never sleep in.

Glad you got checked out and that it wasn't serious. Healing tissue and scar tissue can definitely mess with you. Try doing VERY light gentle clockwise massage on the area like you were stroking a baby. It stimulates the flow of lymph and encourages tissues to relax. It sure worked for me.

I had the same pain and had it for about a week went in the the ER Sunday and they did all kinds of test supposedly nothing. Went back Friday because i still was not well it turned out I was dehydrating and I was low on potassium. They pumped me with potassium and I never felt that ugly pain on my chest again (knock on wood) I felt so much better after! Good luck!
