Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
And what you wrote hit home. I sometimes speak at GBS orientations given by my medical team and I want to share this part of your post
I am HEALTHY and I am HAPPY and those things are immeasurable. Being able to thrive and live life how I want to, instead of how it was imposed on me because of my size ... well that really is priceless.
:)
I'm following in your footsteps, 3 months behind and loving the journey.
You're right, it isn't all easy. Parts of the trip have been downright difficult, but again, you're right....it's worth it.
Thanks for showing us the way.
You are an absolute inspiration, beautiful from the inside out, and I just love you to pieces.
Continued happiness, heath, and success!
What a wonderful post. I am beyond happy for you. I can visualize how happy you are and it puts a smile on my face.
You are proof that the "tool" works. Stick to the plan, do what you need to do...and reap the wonderful benefits.

My presurgery weight was about 244, and now I'm 210. I'm looking forward to when I can wear a 12 again. Has been a VERY long time for me as well!
Keep up the good work!
Lots of Love!
