Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.

I did a system cleanse for a month prior to my surgery. I found protein, vitamins, and hydrated my body. I found a great liquid multi vitamin that has everything in it plus much more and I like sublingual vitamins. These absorb better and my blood numbers are right in line. Bariatric Advantage has great iron and calcium chews. Liquid, sublingual and chew forms all help absorption.
That is wonderful that you won't have stress over finances. Stress doesn't do anything for shedding weight except make it harder. Wishing you well in your preparation stage!
Welcome to our group. We are an online family. I learned a lot from the folks here. Post often. Someone will respond. We are eager to hear about your journey.
Glad to hear you've got your insurance all figured out. That can be half the battle.
Keep us posted!
I personally found the pre-op program really useful (mine was six months). It really helped me to get my head in the game and gradually begin to purge my pantry of all the stuff I wouldn't use after surgery. I know it really made it easier after the surgery. I wish you well. :)
