Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
For me to get to a support group meeting, I have to drive an hour and they start while I am still at work. So between this site and FB, that is where I get my support. These sites are very important to me. I check this one daily and FB about every other day. The activity on here has slowed down some I think, which is sad.
I hope you get to feeling better from your hospital stay soon. Congrats on the baby. Take care.
Dude, you have so much to look forward to and the best way is to take it one day at a time - some of your situations are temporary and they will pass.
The best of luck to you!
I find that planning ahead really helps. Keep protein drinks at your desk at work, or in the car, or wherever you are so they're there. Also, it doesn't hurt to set a small alarm to remind you to eat or drink. If you don't, it can stop the loss and cause other problems like dehydration.
I always have string cheese, yogurt, eggs and cheese in the fridge at work. I can nuke eggs in 2 minutes if I forget to get out for lunch.
Glad you're checking in, keep on taking care of yourself, so you can care for your new family, and congrats on the baby as well as the 130 lbs. Just think of all the things you will be able to do with your child now that you can move, and breath, and fit into places you couldn't before!!! Yay you!
Congrats on the new baby. You will have so much more fun now that you will be able to move around and play with him or her :)
