I am having mt surgery friday March 12 ( 5 days).
My grandson was visiting and became ill.
Now I am headachy with muscle aches, low qppetite, short of breath and tired.
Although I have been much sicker in my life I am really really worried.
If the surgery is put on hold I will face huge problems.
I need to have someone with me and have to travel for the surgery.
A dear friend has taken the time off work to help me.
This friend has rearraged her scheduale on more than one occaision for the nonsense that I have been through going from one country to another and jumping through all the hoops from both.
My own daughter bailed on me and doesn.t want anymore to do with it.
Another friend bailed as well.
My husband is not going to be of help eother.
I am very low now and feek like I have the weight of the world on my shoulders with little support.
I need to get this surgery behind me so I can get out from under thus mess.
I do have 2 friends who are really suppotive but one cannot travel and the other cannot be expected to continue to rearrange her life because of all my troubles.
How sick do you have to be for surgery to be cancelled.
Does anyune have any experience with this?

I wish you had some better support.......I can't believe it when I hear of families and loved ones, that don't support someone when they want to better their life.
Thank God for this friend of yours.........she's truly an Angel in disguise.
I am wondering if I can do this because I am on the pre op liquid diet and only allowed shakes and crisp water whick is lettuce and celery etc ( I am also allowed broth)
Yes it is very sad.
I have been as good a mother, wife and friend as I know how to be.
My heart is broken.
I do not have cough or congestion but probably a light fever.
Although I am very very sorry your husband is ill.
Isincely hope he will get improve.
I am a very self reliant individual however I am 5 hours away from the major city which preforms this surgery.
I have to sign a release that someone will be there and be responsible.
In addition because I live so far away I must make arrangements to stay close by in the ciyt for one week.
At this time arrangements have been made to stay at my escorts friends house in that town.
I do not know this lady but my friend does.
I am in bed drinkig lots of water and am toying with the idea of breaking open some hot and sour soup I have up in the cupboard
I wonder if that would effect my liver.
I have 5 days to shake this
Call the docs office and ask them...they may have suggestions...

On the bright side, although I had an unexpected delay the day before my scheduled surgery (and spent a tearful night freaking out about it) I am now 1 month past surgery and, on this side of things, I survived it and actually had a better "pre surgery" day than I otherwise would have had.
It all worked together for good...
