Ok, Altheia update! I am down almost 67 lbs, I feel great. Almost off my insulin. Me making the choice to save my life with Gastric Bypass surgery was the best choice. I can enjoy my family for a lot more years with quality. See my grandchildren, and love my family and freinds even more. Thanks for all who have supported me. Going to the docs on Tuesday! Hope my blood work comes out ok. Will give a follow up then.

You are doing great.
We had our surgery around the same time (march 12) and I have lost 55 pounds.
It's fabulous isn't it!

After spending 6 years considering gastric bypass surgery, it was my steadily worsening diabetes that finally 'tipped the scales' in my decision to proceed. Now, at nearly 8 months post-op, i've just had my second consecutive normal A1C - 5.8 and am off all diabetic meds.

Losing the weight is wonderful but getting diabetes under control is priceless. Congratulations!
