Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. What does your doctor's office say?
I actually have soup for lunch or dinner almost every day. I make soup on Sunday and eat it all week. It is super-thick and I don't have any hunger issues (ingredients: chicken, onion, green chillies, carrots, tomatoes, garlic, and enchilada sauce). For awhile I was eating it with crackers and my weight was up a few pounds from where I like it to be. When I dropped the 5 crackers a day my weight dropped 5 lbs in 2 weeks (no exaggeration!!)
Just keep a close eye on things to make sure your servings don't start to get bigger and/or you don't start needing to eat sooner afterwards.
