Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
I agree with Lcat4. You should call your doctor about ANY experience you are having that is "worse than expected".
Looks like we had our procedures on the same day! I too am struggling with nausea. My doc sent me home with Ondansetron ODT, Apparently it is the same thing as the Zofran. It helps. Today is post op day 3, and I'm tackling the first protein drink. I don't feel ANY desire to chug it, but it is staying down, which makes me happy. Hang in there... not that we have much choice at this point, do we? :-). This too shall pass.
