I know it's been forever. I've been a bit of a peg stalker. Get one, read, leave. I've been busy. But I'm glad to see that everyone is still amazing and supportive as ever.
I did my 6 month post op check today. It's really an 8 month check because of snow, cancelled appointments, rescheduling, etc. Anyway, aside from some low blood pressure (97/54...that we are just keeping an eye on for now), all is well. My surgeon is very impressed and said I'm "doing awesome".
Pre-RNY, the doc and I talked of expectations and goals. He informed me that, for my height, my ideal weight is approx 135. He then asked what my goal is. I told him I'd be happy to get to (and maintain) 150. So when I got on the scale today and was 141.4, we were both happy.
I'm working on the "head games" portion now. A friend have me some SF chocolate for Valentines (since the hubs is currently overseas), and that was a problem. Sweets are never good for me. Even SF sweets. So, now it's wrapping my head around that, not giving in to the "craving", and making better choices. As long as I keep that up, I feel confident in myself.

Sounds like you are doing awesome!! And yes, the head stuff... by far the hardest work I've ever done. I am 7 mos out, and every day is hard. Worth it... but hard! :)
