Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
I'm often the responsible person for setting up volunteer retreats and events, and I can get all "bride prepping for the wedding" on it, or realize that if I make my list, check it twice, and not freak if one or two things don't work out exactly as planned, everyone will still have been taught, fed, and provided for. Even when things go a little goofy, they work out and everyone has a good time.
If your knee won't let you do the bike, find something that doesn't hurt it, swim maybe? Long term, when the weight is gone, your knee will have a better chance, and you'll be back on your routine, without the pain.
Happy healing.
