Hi I am Tiffany and I have chosen to take a journey to a new life through WLS. I have chose to have GB. I don't currently have a surgery date yet, but I know it will be done before christmas. I have had weight issues since I had my second child in 2000. I have PCOS and I was on metformin for it off and on until last december when my doctor took me off it completely because it was no longer benefiting me in any way. I was also prescribed a thyroid med to help with weight loss and it was unsuccessful as well. I have nearly 135lbs to lose and I am hoping to do it to prevent major health issues. As it stands now, I don't have high blood pressure, high cholesterol or diabetes, and I would love to keep it that way.
I am active and I especially love to swim.
At this point in my progress I am working on the psychologist evaluation which is posing a slight complication and frustration, but I will work through it in no time.
I am excited to get to know those of you who post on a regular basis and give/receive support through this group of what seems to be great people from all over. I am encouraged by your successes and eager to stand by those who are at the beginning of their journey as well.

Sounds like youre making all the right decisions and you are right, you dont want high blood pressure and diabetes. When I was where you are at now weight loss surgery was (IMO) too risky- so you are fortunate.
