>B12 sub-lingual 1 time per week - 2500 mcg
>Complete multi vitamin with minerals 2 per day (I bought centrum chewables per my NUTS approved list)
> Calcium Citrate with Vitamin D and Magnesium - 1500 mg a day (only 500-600 mg of calcium can be absorbed at once time. for best absorption, take split doses. Also, take 2 hrs apart from multivitamin) Liquid, chewable are recommended. Must be Citrate for us to absorb it. I bought Twin Labs Calcium Citrate Wafers as it was one of the approved ones per my NUT.
> Iron as prescribed by your doc (This is what my notes say...) For me, this meant getting a multivitamin with 18 mcg of Iron and 400 mcg of folic acid.
To be honest, I find this vitamin thing a bit overwhelming as we are to spread them out and not take the calcium NOT at the same time as the multi, but multiple times per day....! Eeek! Talk about having to figure out a schedule! But Monday night I have the 2nd NUT class and we are suppose to go over the scheduling then. I'm taking all my vitamins and having her sit down with me to figure it all out! This of course is so important preop I want to make sure I get it right! If I learn anything enlightening I'd be happy to share :) :)
