Well surgery went well and all is getting back to normal except I ended up with cellulitis from the iv site. Not fun at all. On a ton of antibiotics and hope it gets better. Spent every night for the last 5 days in the ER getting IV antibiotics. Gained some water weight from all the fluids but in the last 2 weeks I have lost 30 pounds. I am starting pureed foods but doesn't seem to tolerate much at all. My tummy has become very picky. I am getting nauseated a lot but have not had any vomiting. I am just so glad to have this site to read about everything that could go on.

Glad you are healing. Nausea is very common early on. You doctor can prescribe anti-nausea meds. I found hot, herbal tea helped calm my cranky pouch.

You have an exciting year ahead!! Hang on!

great weight loss...CONGRATS...crappy though about your infection....if you are starting pureed foods you really ought to try baby food..STRAINED baby food...they have hardly any spice and stuff they even have older baby types that are strained...some are TOLERABLE i ate then for a few weeks..im sure in the 5 years since my surgery they have added some new ones too ....good luck and let us know how you are!!

Thank you guys. I am doing good on puree and finding stuff I like to blend so the flavors are there. I think that is what I was missing. I am trying veggie refried beans and some very mild salsa and cheese blended. We shall see if that is tolerable. I am so excited. I love this site because I need all the advice I can get.
