I'm back. It felt great to take that shower when I got home. And those drains were pretty bad. I almost fainted at the site of them. Anyways I feel ok. I mean my spirits are ok I think. I'm just so happy to be home and my cats and my fiance are too!!!! They were lost without me what can I say!!!!

Seriously though, I'm feeling pretty good!!

Now go take some drugs and sleep, there will be plenty of time to feel the pain later.

Glad everything went well for you. I'm agreeing with the others: rest, take those meds,and sip, sip,sip! Then walk a little and rest, rest, rest again! Be gentle with yourself, and be patient. It takes some time to heal and bounce back.

I like the recommendations. Drugs are good. And yes, I have been trying to sip. Sometimes I forget like I grab a glass and take a swig of water. BAD BAD BAD BAD. I'm going to really make an effort not to do that.

You're so right about that shower! That was amazing! How about the little victores as each tube was unhooked - catheter, iv, and finally that horrible drain!

OMG locopuppy yes!! What was worse is that my monthly visitor FLO came by the day of surgery. I had that D*&^!! catheter in AND I was on my cycle . . . lucky me. Sorry fellas, but ladies, you know what hell I went thru!!!

Mother Nature and Auntie Flo can sometimes play cruel jokes on us womanfolk! I had my drain in for a month after surgery. Kinda got use to the thing hanging around! *giggle*
