Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
you are NOT alone in this. we all have our moments pre and post op, you just had a bunch in one day.
you haven't screwed anything up with the protein diet, don''t let that snarky nurse get you in a tizzy. do the best you can starting in the morning and take it one day at a time. i ate like a beast until the 3 days of my clear liquid fast. but you know what, in tye before life, i was bummed about the food choices i would have to make...and moving along in my program now, i appreciate the little food i can eat and savor it like i never have before.
your life will be so different after this, it's juts another hoop to jump through or heck, even crawl through if that's the only way to get through it...you have worked too heard and come too far to let these last few tasks get to your goal!
sometimes you just gotta cry it out and that's totally ok. I cried in the pre-op area and then i was a mess on the table crying and praying in my special way with God...and I am right as rain :)
He's got you mama, just do your thang and all will come together!

You'll be OK.
I am 5 weeks out I had a sugar addiction, on top of eating too much, and eating it with too much fat, carbs etc. Well I was making cup cakes with the kids today, in my mind I just wanted to eat one. We put jelly beans on top of them and when we were done I figured I could have 1 jelly bean. I was dying to, well so I did, it was pretty gross, I never thought sugar would turn my stomach like it did...I never thought I would change that much, but I did.
So, Just keep on going and tell yourself you can do it...and then you will, without even thinking :D...Best Wishes
The one for newbies
Will show you are acting completely normal for this life changing surgery
Plz bump if anyone finds it
I freaked out at GNC also
Now they know me when I come in and ask how I'm doing!
Ake a deep cleansing breath, do the best you can and be kind to yourself! All will be well.
I have to thank God for my husband because he truly held me up today when i doubted my ability to do this. He said "honey you've come to far, you can do this" He has been a little lax on the support for the past few months, I guess he has his own insecurities about this whole weight loss thing as well as his fears for my well being, but when i needed that shoulder and reassurance all the love i know him to have for me was right there on point.
I just wanted to say thank you all so much because my uncertainty rose right to the top tonight and I was truly paralyzed with fear. Anxiety attacks are nothing for me, they happen all the time but tonights was a whopper. This site is amazing because there is always encouragement and words to soothe the soul. Just what the doctor order.
We all cope and react a bit differently... I've not had meltdown yet... But i'm no fool, i know my day(s) will come!
Bless you!
Becca
Take a deep breath and take one thing at a time. It will all fall into place.
GNC can be very confusing because they have so much to choose from. Until your more comfortable going in there and know what you need or want from there, maybe your husband can go for you.

Love the feedback, thanks
