so my first time i was off pain meds with in 24 hrs but I still had a bunch of gas pain. this new doc gives gas x after surgery so I don't anticipate any pain after the first 24 hrs again and if I need I plan on asking for pain mend when needed. my friend had this doc in aug do hers and she didnt have any major pain at all. good luck ill be walk walk walking and sip sip siping right along with you :)

you could call your surgeons office on the gas x thing .......im not sure about bringing your own most hospitals wont let you take meds unless they dispense them here.
I like the surgery buddies thing babs :) This is the beginning again for me except Im already down in weight.

As far as the pain, I obviously haven't done it yet, but 3 c-sections of a gall bladder surgery has taught me that the pain goes quickly. It is usually really intense for a day or two, and the you get better exponentially faster.
