I am feeling pretty darn good about this thing!
Protein for the day (when I finish off my drink) will be 80 gms (my doc goal is 80 to 100)
Liquids for the day... about 80 oz as well :)
After I go for this next walk, I will be at 6 for the day. Granted they are not far... but I am making the loop around our townhouse parking lot :)
I am still taking the pain meds... but less often and less of it... so this is progress!
Little things I have learned:
Smells can be a little slice of heaven!! I just want to smell stuff... don't have a desire to eat it, but its like my smells are on extra sensitive setting and in such a good way!
When you finally start passing gas... you might want to do it in the bathroom at first! LOL! No, I didn't have an accident, but was REAL HAPPY I chose to be in the restroom! :)
Have non-sweet things to eat too... Real easy to get tired of the pudding, sweet protein drinks, etc... tonight was cream of broccoli soup (YUMMY!). I put some lowfat ricotta cheese in it for a dash of protein! And a 1/4 cup of anything is PLENTY which is a weird experience :)
Use unflavored protein powder and add it to everything... Even if its only a 1/2 scoop, all those small #'s add up!
My husband, Rich... is such a sweetie! He goes with me for EVERY walk!! No matter what hes doing, he stops and goes with me :)
Negatives?
Only one at this point... I feel like I am 12 months pregnant! My tummy is swollen as well as all pouched out from the gas.... I will be so very happy when this feeling is gone!

Today was even better! By 4:30 pm over 90 gms of protein and oz of fluids in for the day! :) :)
I truly think getting my my fluids and protein is helping me to feel better much sooner! Oh and of course, walk walk walk walk :)
