As far as the eating, my husband doesn't get it either alot of the time, the other part of the time he's playing "Mother Hen" over me. I know he's doing it because he cares but sometimes he drives me nut. Like I was just eating lunch and he said, "Chew chew chew baby". I rolled my eyes and said, "Yes dear". LOL
Tell your parents that you need to do things on your own and there are some things about your surgery that you want to keep to yourself. Tell them that you'll share with them what you want them to know.
My husband and grandson that I'm raising still have to eat and many times they go to McDonalds, Burger King, Pizza Hut, DQ, while I'm with them. They usually get it to go. I know that what I'm doing for me is for ME and I don't even mind them eating things that I can't have.
Actually I just bought my husband a cheesecake and my grandson some cupcakes a few hours ago.
Be firm with your parents but try to be understanding. Good luck to you. As for you having two protein shakes and then a meal at night, are you sure that's written in stone? I was able to have my meal mid day if I wanted.

:-) I ment to post way more then what came up last time. I saw the doctor and he was really excited on how good I'm doing. Lost 6lbs since last week:-) Said every thing is on track just keep it up. LoL he seemed sooooo excited. He actually said I can have another protein shake or drink(and I was shocked the ones they sale at the office are great)if I want and if I'm ever feeling weak on the diet feel free to e-mail nutritionist at any time. My nerves are fading away and I'm becoming almost giddy with excitement :-)~
Have a great day and YAY for the shopping therapy I cant wait to actually enjoy shopping!
My husband loves subway. Tonight was a crazy night and I had excerize after work so I was running very late. I stopped at subway and bought his fav sub. I picked up a cup of soup and came home. I "stole" two meatballs out of his sub and he never figures this out!! Happens everytime. Just more protein. and the soup. At 21 months out I know what I can have and what works for me. I am over the "I can't haves" I am so happy with the new me I don't want that other stuff any more. If I think I want something. I check it out on my food diary to see if a bite of something will work. If I can, I do, if not, I don't.
Good Luck,
JILL
My dad just walks in in the middle of my half a cup dinner and wants to sit and talk about stressful stuff for a HOUR while I'm hungry and having to wait for him to finish venting, did I mention he just walks in...
