Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.

Do what's right for you. Just be careful.
Congrat's on your progress!!! That is fantastic. It is normal to slow down. Your body is going through major adjustments. You may need to adjust calories if your not excersizing enough. I also do not exercise enough and so I am very cautious of intake. I have pretty much reached where I am going to end up - I think. If I really pushed hard I think I could loose another 10-15 lbs but I don't want to push that hard. I want to enjoy now!! The last year was such hard work. I am content with where I am. I went from size 22 pushing into a 24 to size 8. So very glad I was able to have this surgery.
Sorry to be so long winded. I love this group and love to share.
Keep up the great work!!!!!
No soda. Ever.
If you had RNY, you need to be very cautious with alcohol. It hits our system at 10 times the rate it did pre-surgery and can be really hard on our livers. You should wait until 4-6 months to try alcohol...and I'd recommend trying it at home before you try it in public.
