It is so hard eating such a small amount especially when our brain is saying, "this can not be the right amount. It is too small." I had a very hard time eating until about three months out. It was miserable, but bearable. Some days things agreed with me and other days the same food was horrible. It will get better. You are still healing and adjusting. I know it is hard when you do not feel well, but try to be patient and take care of yourself. Keep in touch with the Dr. to make sure you are alright. Best of luck.

You might have an ulcer or stricture. I was very sick like you are and had to be scoped. No amount of anti-nausea medicine would help. If you continue to vomit please insist that your doctor do an EGD. There might be something going on. I hope that you feel better soon.

I'm so sorry you are having such a hard time. It was 3 months out before I started to feel like I was going to survive the surgery. Then I started to get better. It takes time to heal

If you can't keep liquids down, call your surgeon NOW and firmly tell him/her you cannot keep water down and this is an emergency. You must have fluids or you will dehydrate. If ypu are dehydrated, you will end up in ER hooked up to an IV. Trust me - been there, done that!!

I hope that you start feeling better with the meds. What meds is your doc giving you? I was having a hard time keeping foods down about 6 weeks out and realized I still needed Prilosec so they gave me that. I actually had to take that for about 8 months after then I was fine, but that really helped me. Hang in there.

I hope you feel better soon, I am 10 weeks out and still having a hard time tolerating anything other then sugar free popsicles and broth.. my weight loss has come to a halt big time (dont think I am consuming enough) But, I am on medication to help with my ulcer and that seems to help if I can keep the pills down, def talk with your doctor and let us know the outcome. I wish you the best.
