First, the good news. I went to a thrift store today to look for work pants and I fit into a size 18! The last time I was in a size 18 was I dont know, um NEVER! :) Also I was helping a customer today, and when I was done, she turned to her son and said. This one is good, and smiled at me. Ah, that made my whole day.
And now the other. I hate water weight gain. This journey has been such a mental thing that I have a hard time concentrating on other things than the scale. And when I see a gain, I freak Even though I know its only water weight gain and will go away soon, I still get all worked up.

With the water weight, it is very discouraging seeing the scale go up even though we know what it is.
Have you thought of putting your scale away for awhile? Take it's power away...? I know its hard to do, but I made a deal with my hubby that he gets to hide the scale and only bring it out one day a week after I've had surgery :) Otherwise I will be glued to the darn thing!!
