any one have trouble with beef,? I am 15 months out, and think the beef I ate earlier is giving me a belly ache. Having cramps and feel like throwing up.

I couldn't stomach much meat protein until 10 months. Even after 2 years my body sometimes just doesn't like dead meat. Listen to your body!

i can eat steaks and roasts, but ground beef - even the leanest 97/3 - is really bad for me.

ewww. hamburger I cannot eat now for sure. I LOVE roast, but with the steak, I am not too sure. :( I tried to chew well, maybe it was just not PUREED enough..lol I spit out any thing that was not going to be chewed small enough.

Cut meat into "earaser" size pieces and chew, chew, chew until completely liquified. Most discomfort is due to not chewing well enough or eating too fast. Eat very slowly with no distractions. At first eat an ounce or two at a "meal" to determine what agrees and what does not. The relearning how and what it eat is definately a process and everyones is different. I still have dificulties with chicken...one day it is fine and the next ..not so much. It takes time an trial and an occasional error to fiqure out what works for you. d

I'm just over 4 months out and some days I can eat meat and some days I can't. Not reliable either way.

I am really thinking that we are all different on this, and that your body will let you know what works and what doesn't. I am 16 months out, and while beef works for me...chicken, not so much. So, as Lcat4 said..."listen to your body." Enjoy the protein that works...and stay away from stuff that doesn't.

Beef hits my stomach like a rock as well as spagetti. Ground beef in chili is fine, and for a year was my favorite food.

I am 5 months out from sleeve surgery as of today. I have eaten cube steak in low fat mushroom soup ok. I have eaten hamburger, roast, steak all ok too. I just take very small pieces of it and chew and chew and chew it. I have no problems with chicken breast either. Really there isn't any food I have eaten that has made me ill since about month three now. I just tried egg beaters again this morning and did ok with them too.
I think it is just trial and error and remembering to take very small peices of it the meat and then chewing and chewing it.
