I have had this pain in my side since my surgery, GBS on 12th of July. I have complained numerous times and one doctor thought it was my lungs yet from the fluid from the pneumonia. And maybe just scar tissue. But now I am wondering ,since it isn't just that side anymore, if it is my back???? It goes around to the back to front now. How could they jerk my back around???? It has been another LAZY day and I don't want to get weak again. Being I was in the old folks home to regain strength. At first could not get out of bed, or lift myself up higher in sitting position.I worked up to walking an hour a day and also peddle an hour too. any how. I guess a few days wont get me there again. I'm not like deathly ill like i was.

Sorry that you're having pain!! i'm having some back painsn too. i was starting to wonder if that was my "dumping" symptom. Does yours hurt all the time or is does it come and go?

Do you still have your gallbladder? Many people feel pain in their back. Hope you feel better soon!

no, my gall bladder was removed in my early twentys. Fresh start, the pain was in my side all the time since my surgery, but now its like it goes from my back to my front, I think its in the muscles. Its hard to explain. It goes into my chest area on the left side especially bad.

my pain feels like it is my pouch having heartburn....sorry you're suffering!!!

I ended up with pericarditis and had chest pain really bad. Hurt to lay down. Then I had fluid on my left lung that they drained twice in three days. I had left chest pain and my upper back would hurt. I would continue to complain to your doctor even your PCP.

I have heard that when you lose weight you start to use muscles that you haven't in awhile and your back can hurt. Not sure if it is that type of pain but wanted to share.

could it be gastritus? That could be in tummy and radiate around to the back. I think my husband has it . I was searching this back week for him. to much acid can cause it . When he drinks a half glass of wine 15 min later he is in pain. He drinks V8 which is acidy and he is a swede so Coffee galore. It sets him for a loop.

Otherwize if they did a lapriscopic maybe the scar tissue from the muscles are helping case this? (ok maybe not but they can feel horrid i have heard)

If they tore the diapham? You would know it if it was bowel twisted by now i sure would hope. They can die in 5 hrs (intestine) if not caught. Common problem with us surgery people.
