Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
However, I dont agree with your doctor that you should try everything at this point. It seems too soon for acidic things like citrus & fiberous foods like salad and celery. I wasnt allowed all foods until 4 months. It just doesnt seem like a good idea to try a bunch of new foods during the time our pouch is the most cranky and stuff doesnt taste that good, anyway.
Just my thoughts.

I know that you have to try to get those calories (and protein in). I was having a hard time even getting to 500 calories -- and I think my whole metabolism shut down.
If your system is not ready -- stick to the broths (or creamy soups) and at least try to pick up some calories and protein.
This too shall pass! :)
It is hard for me to make my lunches everyday when the thought of eating anything just makes me gag. :(
