Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. Sorry I couldn't have been more help to you.
My nutritionist recently reminded me though, that lettuce has very little nutritional value, and we are better suited if we have some spinach leaves in our salads. I like spinach but many don't.
Another option I've shared here before, is a salad of veggies without the lettuce. There again, we ALL seem to love the lettuce part of our salads, and to think of not eating them is tough. I usually will have a few bites, but it's not the huge centerpiece of the meal mine use to be.
