As far as pain...I guess it depends. I didn't really have any, and was on no pain medicine after the first day in the hospital. Tired, yes. Pain, no.

I've heard a lot of people on here say they've recovered by themselves and it sounds like if there was something extreme you needed help with, your daughter could probably still help you.

This is one of the most important things that you will ever do for yourself!!!!
My pain was incredibly minimal - nothing Tylenol couldn't fix. I was able to do everything for myself. I still had people on standby just in case, but there was never a day where I was bedridden and couldn't get myself up. I was shocked at how minimal the pain was. I'd say (for me) it was like a 2 out of 10. More internal discomfort than pain.
