hi all... I started on my reconstructive phase from my bypass. I had my first procedure the abdominal plastic. My weight before surgery was 287lbs and going into surgery was 145lbs. My Doc remove 5lbs of excess skin from my abdomen. Now I am recovery from this it's been not easy and the pain is well . The drains and the worst because you have them on the right and left sides.. So sleeping is crazy no good position. One night I sprung a leak and just to say Nasty. Well my doc says with all my excess skin I was easy candidate.. Next phase my arms and my pelican neck ( my children) !!!

Also, most people hit a wall of depression about 3 weeks out from surgery. I've been told it is a side effect from the anesthesia, but I also suspect the recovery process is at least partially to blame (being in pain, not able to do normal things, etc).
Hang in there, it gets better! I haven't had my neck done, but the arms were the easiest recovery (I was back in the gym 3 weeks later).
