Good morning! This is my first day finding out about dailystrength.org and I don't know if there's another place I should be posting an intro. If so please let me know and I'll gladly post elsewhere.

My name is Tia and I live in Brooklyn and I'm 29 years old. I just had gastric bypass surgery 5 days ago and I'm looking for a network of friends to connect with about this journey in life.

I'm feeling excited and anxious to see the changes in me. Physically I feel great. I'm feeling out the new pouch and wondering if the amount I'm able to eat is normal for only five days out, and I'm trying to aquaint myself with the difference between "satisfied" and "full".

anyway I hope this is an okay place for this post.

Tia.......you found the place to be. Alot of good people here and we have all either had the surgery or are waiting, and some just questioning.
Welcome to what we call the loser's bench, and good luck on your journey to the new you.
I live further up in NY, around the Lake George area, but do love to go to the city every couple of years. Of course that's Christmastime, it's so beautiful.

This place is like a lesbian bar! Mostly women and a few guys. You know how there are always a few guys in those type of bars just in case someone might be bi.

If it wasn't for all the losers in here I would not find out as much as I have. Keep asking I'm reading. I need all the info I can get. Im at my 6th week since surgury and I'm glad to have done it. I should have been a loser a long time ago. Keep on smiling because they don't know what your thinking. Welcome grab a seat an talk away.
