Gastric Bypass Surgery Support Group
Gastric bypass (GBP) is any of a group of similar operative procedures used to treat morbid obesity, a condition which arises from severe accumulation of excess weight in the form of fatty tissue, and the health problems ("co-morbidities") which result. If you are considering gastric bypass or have had it, join the community where we share our experiences and find support.
I'm only 3 months post op, so don't have much advice that you don't already know!
Maybe go back to basics, focus on protein first, drink lots of fluids, and measure everything.
Sorry couldn't be more helpful, but there are so many others on this site with great ideas and personal experiences that I'm sure will chime in!
Best wishes and keep sharing with us!
Good luck, it sounds like you already know what you have to do.
Take Care!
I remember you, and have to tell you hon, you look so amazingly beautiful, from all of your hard work, and perseverance!!!!
Be proud of all the work you have put into this!
Yes, Like Touk said, just go back to the basics, stay away from the carbs..They are SOOO tempting! I myself, am 3 months post op, lost 70 pounds so far, and need to check myself, on having carbs once in a while, they are too easy to eat!
So glad you're back, and hope you visit often!!
You look GREAT!!
Hugs,
Boo
In a year and a half losing 140 pounds is wonderful! Nothing to feel any disappointment about. This is a new life not a race.
I used to drink beer, lots of it. I have tried it now that I am 15 months+ post op. I find I can't do it anymore! Just can't hold it. Maybe that habit took care of itself. It was empty calories anyway.
Let us know how the pouch test turns out. I hav thot of trying that too.
