I have been in psychotic crisis for the past week or so. I think I am holding steady, but my psychotherapy tool box is getting quite a workout. Some of the details are in my journal if anybody believes they are pertinent.
The yaddah I am discussing here is a potential psychotherapy tool that fits well into a gardening scheme, as well. During this crisis I have been using it to level the dirt floor of a big, long neglected old barn, but it works the same as when I use it in a garden. I started calling it, "Rake Chi" while I was encouraging "Tai Chi" discussions without any real interest in joining classes.
Several of my therapy supporters have calls my compulsive raking, "OCD." I am compulsive enough about it that I usually carry at least a hand rake with me at all times.
Any thoughts? Am I making sense? For sure I haven't found clear or concise words for ^it^.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
Oh....your rake is like your comfort tool. Stay with it, till your to bored with it.
Of course..... if you start taking it to bed with you. You have a more serious problem. Please call: 1-800-Godhelpme!
LOL
Wish I still had a barn. But of course i'ld have to get a horse too...
Now if your local parks need a top-notch trailbuilder, we have something to talk about. Maybe. . . So many parks and so little time. . . Listening to the sounds of nature is a big part of the self-soothing I find in my raking and digging. If the tools are disturbing the birds, the ambiance which soothes my psychotic senses flies away with the birds. . .
I've thought about getting a horse, but horse people scare me. I have plenty of room for more than one, but. . . Can I buy a horse at Walmart rather than confusing myself by talking to horse people?
