Mosquito repellent, 10 times stronger than DEET.

So, I just watched a TV show about animals and insects etc.


Guess what is 10 times stronger than DEET, (the active ingredient in mosquito repellent)? 


CATNIP!!! Isn't that a shocker? You can buy catnip in a spray solution to spray on cat toys etc. Completely harmless to animals. You can also GROW your own Catnip too. Catnip is sold in your Herb section of nurseries. Easily grown and easily crushed down into a pulp. Add water, let it stew for a few hours. Then put the liquid only, into a spray bottle. Spray your face, arms and legs. You can also spray your screens on doors and windows as a deterrent. 


I really like this idea of something natural and easy to make.

No, I haven't tried it since I just heard about it in TV. Mosquitoes are gone now. Next year though...

And yes, I guess the neighborhood cats will..... LOVE ME! LOL

that's really interesting. I always have catnip around but I had not idea that it had any other use than making cats go nuts.

Yes, AND..... as far as cats go. It actually is similar to a Pheromone that cats love...... Meaning, in the ROMANCE dept. Lol......

Some cats jump wildly about and run around. Others cuddle the catnip or what's been sprayed with catnip. Others..... well....... They do naughty things to inanimate objects that have catnip scent.

Gosh..... I wish I could create some girlnip and spray it on myself!!!
