The annual drought on the Southern Great Plains has turned the strip below the grey water drain pipe into green eye candy on the ranch where I am currently working. Good luck not noticing the green patch in the sea of brown, sun dried prarie plants. I've been digging around the drainage pipe in hopes of channeling the grey water from the kitchen and laundry room to more productive uses than growing nutgrass. It is currently pointed to drain straight downhill, alongside the driveway. I am hoping to turn it away from the driveway into the front yard, possibly into a still non-existant garden bed.
Thoughts? Ideas? Experience?
Fortunately, there are no City Codes to deal with. Not this week, anyway. . .

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.
I lived in the desert. So every drop was precious. I used a few pipes and flex hose. So I could maneuver everything around.
By the way.... I HATE NUT GRASS!!!!
NSW in Australia has just been declared to be in 100% drought and my part of Victoria is in a green drought no were near enough rain.
Yea, nutgrass is hard to love, even for a weed witch, but it's roots hold a mild juice my senses tell me could keep me from dying of thirst in a pinch. The patch which has grown up around that drain pipe is a force of nature. Thems is some stubborn-assed roots.
