whats this new feeling called CALM?

is it strange to feel CALM? i feel weirdly calm, i dont have urges, nor have anxiety, so this new feeling i have IS SCARY, cause i dont recognize it, at least when i had cravings i would contend w/them, but im sitting here....with nothing to do until later, but idle hands is the devils work so i guess i passed the test today, i have no one to watch me, and i didnt go, im fine, im ok, for once, im ok...

that new feeling called 'calm' is life without gambling. without the anxious feelings to win, without all the noise of the machines, without driving like a madman/woman to get to the casino, without running to the ATM machine hoping no one grabs your machine while you are gone................................

yep, it's called enjoying a nice (normal) life. scary, isn't it? enjoy it.

It's not strange, I'd say it's more acceptance than calm. Treasure the feeling and nurture it. As the days pass, you'll have good ones and bad ones, but the feeling of "passing the test" is always one to keep close and remember on those bad days.
Hang in there and keep up the fight.

for the rough times,
I wish I had instead of relapsing and letting other
thoughts enter my head.

Hold on for dear life
to the thoughts of 'passing the test" and not gambling
and being successful in recovery and life.
