Deep Breaths! I did it so can you. Just tell everything all at once so you don't have to do it twice. He will be mad, mine was. But once he realized gambling had become a sickness he understood better. Let him have his say as much as he needs too. If he loves you he will stay.. mine did and it's a struggle everyday to not continue the path I was on, but it's ok, one day at a time. You got this and you have us here!

It is a big step and an important one, coming clean. Not everyone I told took it well, but it opened my eyes to who was really my friends and who was full of judgement. Personal crisis in my life has helped me separate the wheat from the chaff amongst my friends. Always good to uncover the false friends that disappear when times are tough. The ones that stick by you are worth keeping the ones that shame you more and are not supportive are not worth the time and effort.

It went over ok. He understood and is standing by me. I am very grateful to have someone who understands addiction. Now to ban myself from the casino's. Thank you everyone, The stories I have seen on here hit so close to home, I understand every word you say on how it made you feel, the disappointment, the stress, the anxiety, the loss. Feeling deceitful, hoping to win enough to make up for the loss. Every one of you have a story which means something to me. And I am so glad to be a part of this group. Day by day I will beat this!

I do feel better, you have know idea, I was so ashamed of myself, I woke up and knew I needed to do the right thing...for me, for my spouse, and my family. The stomach aches, the heart ache in my chest, and restless sleeps have mellowed. Now to keep on track and get my daily strength from you all.

I gambled today! I just feel sick! How stupid am I!! The only good thing that came out of it is after I lost my money, I banned myself from all casino's. I almost walked out the door but saw this kind face looking at me, and walked up to her, and said " Id like to ban myself please". ~Ashamed of myself~
The Security guy was quiet and politely walked me through it. He walked me to my vehicle, shook my hand and said "Im proud of you".

you meet angels along the way. that guy who walked you to your car is such a source of encouragement. Things can change. but nothing changes if nothing changes. find a support group, it will take a lot of redesigning your lifestyle. But it is possible.
