I'm a control freak, ouch that's embarrassing to admit. Also a perfectionist. I'm hardest on myself.
Try as I might not to be, I also worry way to much about what other people think of me, a people pleaser to a fault.
I also suffer from depression, most of my adult life, and long before I realized I'm a compulsive gambler. A compulsive gambler. Sheese, I'm a compulsive lots of things! OCD
I try to hide how I'm really feeling in the hopes that my feelings of inadequacy will just vanish on their own... a giant lie that festers when I hide any feelings.
Lots and lots of faults here, too. And I'm not beating myself up either.
I believe I lie to myself when I tell myself I feel no urge to gamble. That sneaky urge fools me into believing I can achieve this feeling my ignoring it and believing it's not there. It is! I must keep my guard up when it comes to my lack of understanding when it comes to my own feelings.

Urges to gamble or not, today I will not gamble.
