As compulsive gamblers, we seem to lose sight of the fact that "making that big score" usually results in us just squirreling that money away for our next visit to the devil's den. I used to do this so often. Never using the windfall for good causes.
Oh yes, for a few fleeting moments right after getting the cash, my
mind would develop this wonderful "master plan" of ways in which to
use the money wisely. Then, with some immediacy, my thoughts were diverted to when I would make my next trip to "win some more".
You are absolutely right, there is no amount of money that would satisfy the insatiable appetite of the evil wolf inside of us. It just wants to fed 24/7 until every last morsel of sensibility, self esteem,
truth, honesty and worthiness is ravishingly devoured!
Then we are left to deal with the pathetic remains of our own
carcasses!
I thank God I'm putting my best foot forward to feed and nurture the good wolf each and every day!
