God is there for us and God can give us a high that never has a low..:).

The high from gambling is so fleeting. It does not sustain our souls.

I know how hard it is to not chase a high. I'm bipolar and my life is full of chasing a high to meet my bipolar needs..:).

I know that God is the only answer for me..:).

Go ahead, keep rambling, thats what we are here for. For me, the lows come not so much when i quit, but when i loose. I got home from the casino at 5am today, so stressed over the loss was till about 8 getting to sleep. I found out yesterday i am going back to work monday after a short lay off, (seasonal lay off actually). i was expecting to go back in march but some one got hurt i have to go back sooner. i have many projects started here that i should be finishing up now but here i sit feeling like crap because of no sleep and loosing all that money. today its not all about the money, its that i have (gambling wise) gone back to where i was 2 years ago, totally out of control. On top of that i talked to a friend about this who was not too understanding of it like the people here are. Now when I face this person i am embarrassed and ashamed because i spilled the beans about how much i was gambling again. You know, i have a decent life, and when i went to sleep last night (or this morning i should say) i dont think i even cared if i woke up. There is not a day that goes by and i dont feel regret for what i did to my life thru gambling in the years 2005 thru 2008. For two years i was never really gamble free, but was under control, as in leaving cash card at home when gambling. 2011 has roared in like a lion i have spent thousands just in a couple months. There is no control over this for peoople like us, you have to be 100% gamble free. hows that for rambling? peace

Gamblingfree is the only option for us. I can t dabble in any kind of gambling at all or it escalates and then I m out of control. Kenny if you can get a couple of days gamble free then the control will come back. It s the first few days that are really the hardest. Come to this site and read and post when the urges come. It helps alot. Turn control over to God and let it go. One day at a time. You can do it. 1 min 1 hour 1 day and then 1 week. But you need to start now. You ll get stronger with each day you re gamble free. God Bless.

Thank you for your post. I am committed to putting the gambling behind me and stop running from life. The hardest part for me right now is knowing that I owe people money (which I borrowed to gamble with) but I don't have the means to pays them back immediately. I feel guilty! I just have to take one day at a time and know that I will be stronger tomorrow than I am today. I have to stop worry about what I cant accomplish today and focus on what I can. God Grant Me the Serenity to except the things I cannot change!!!
