i have not gambled in almost six months and for the most part things have been going pretty good. Urges come and go and I've managed to fight them off. Today, however, is a different story. The urge is so strong that all I've thought about today is gambling. I'm at work and there's no going while I'm working so that's good. I only have a couple hours left to go until I'm finished for the day though and all I can think about is figuring out how to get out of the house to go gamble. What's with this now, after all this time? I don't know, but I do know I need some words of wisdom and encouragement from others to pull me through this.

Something prompted anxiety in me..habitually, I would go to the casino to "escape". I'm doing everything in my power right now to try and keep cool. Man this is tough. Even though logically, I had almost destroyed my family and our lives, and have lost so much....WHY??? it just gives me temporary relief.
