This is kind of weird but if I had a choice I am glad I am a gambling addict. I know it is weird but there is so much to life that I have to make questionalble decisions about, well one I no longer have to even consider is gambling...I can't do it, ain't going to do it and will not do it...I have always had questionable issues with going to the casino and giving them my hard earned money with no realistic expectation of getting even half of it back. But the high was so good before the utter low and after it become an addiction I felt like an idiot but I still kept shoveling money down that bottomless rat hole. From reading most everyone's post I think it is a very common theme. I know that I can fall under the dark magic steamroller bus again real easy if I think I can sample the oh so bitter sweet death draft...So for Today I will not gamble...because It feels so good to feel good

Good for you!! I know I have ZERO recoveries left and this is my last chance. Keep telling yourself that and maybe you will start to believe it like I do. I would have more of a chance walking in front of a moving train than I would gambling again. I believe that with all my heart and the fear of going back to that hell is so much greater than the urge to gamble. God Bless

We’roe digging our heels in, while at the same time traveling down a path of recovery. For as blunt as it may seem, I’m getting to old to keep putting myself through hell anymore. I, too, feel as if I don’t have anymore chances left in me. Despite many attempts at leaving gambling alone, I know I can do this if I set my mind to it. I’m happy to be in recovery today. No gambling for moi today.
