I dont / have never gambled on line cuz' I only have a fuel cc, no others. ( which is probably a good thing ) but Im a casino junkie and I know how hard it can be to quit.
Im glad you are here, reading and sharing.
I can certainly relate to your struggle as I go to the little storefront casinos (internet cafe/sweepstakes) places they have here. I hope you can try not to think about it. Is there a way you can use parental control software and block the sites that you go to? Maybe that would help.
Keep the plans...keep the faith!! It's a tough battle but we are not alone. Take Care.
Losing the desire is so damn hard but i imagined. beating my head up against a wall and expected a differnent result everytime. Except there wasnt one, theoretically I was gonna bleed and did in every part of my being. recovering after a gambling spree. It used took me at least a week to recover towards the end and yet, came the beginning of abstinance. Theres only so much beating up on ourselves we can take before we need drugs( meds) or alcohol to relive the pain then to replace the gambling efforts.with other things.
Ive been through rehabs done all the strategies to cover me, but still i would find a way around during my hey days of gambling, but in time and i mean a long time, in not giving up, i,m ok today. JUst for today as we know its a daily effort to practis what we.v en told and learnt. Its not until the subconvious mind gts he message that the concious mind has a chance to stop for good. Helpful hints and tools and strtegies do work i found when I finally lost everything. Home car family and friends. I had to sepnd 3 years in vertual solitude for the changes to occur. Bredom is such a mence and very conducive to breking the good things we ar striving to acheive. In GA they say once youve stopped the money problems will take care of itself. IN the meantime we are taking care of ourselves to stay sane and enjoy the end to this madness, as thats what it adds up to so i discovered.
Hope my small revealing of what i know willl help you seek help as w cant do this alone initially. Here is good but i needed sponsers etc and of course someones shoulder to cry on each time ide gambled. I was a heavy drinker dop smoker and pill popper (Valium) after a bust. Now i rely on none of those things thank god but. yeah remmeber its a daily thing and at any time its a struggle with self for survival and to win out over this insidious addiction.instead fo tryin gto solve our problems with winning money.
Good fortune and god hunting for the right people will come into your life for support.. jst keep asking and seeking the right way for you.
Blessings..
Vincent.
