I am a little confused by your post. Are you sick because you went to the casino and lost all that money, or are you sick because you can't leave when you win? As compulsive gamblers - we can't gamble at all. We can't control our gambling. We very rarely can leave with our winnings. When we do, we quickly go back to the casino and give it back. So, actually we are not winning at all. When we win, we lose because we just go back and lose that plus more. That is what the addiction/disease does to us.
If you do stop going, I am almost certain you will feel so much better about yourself and you will be better able to cope with other areas of your life. If your husband is a gambler, find someone else that would be willing to be someone you can be accountabe to. You can do this!
Your husband needs to go with you to GA meetings so he better understands compulsive gambling and knows that encouraging you to go to the casino is not helping you at all.
Keep coming back!
