Ike Dorothy in the wizard of oz. it's spinning out of control and the only way it stops is when I stop. All those lies that I tell myself when I'm about to make another slip really doesn't matter because the outcome is the same with "the after storm".
My 84 year old smart beautiful mother got scammed last week out of $5200 and I was devastated for her. The asshole told her lies about her grandson. Luckily we were able to stop the UPS package. And she got her money back.
I was thinking I am worse than that asshole, I am her daughter and I have scammed her out of money with my lies. At least this is his "job" to scam. Gambling makes me a lying total asshole. So let's continue to be good people. It feels a lot better in all aspects of my life.
My addiction has lead me to lie. That is worse then the amount of money I have wasted. The scary part is it was easy.
Phone rings, I don't pick up. Walk out side of casino and make up a whole adventure of being at the mall or helping out a friend. Walk back into the casino. Scary this was easy.
Now keeping up the lie, that is hard.
We have to stop the lies. It hurts others and it hurts our soul.
Cathyio--- Don't lie to your self anymore.
You can do this.
